Divorce mediation is an effective, cost efficient method of resolving all issues in a divorce proceeding, including child custody and visitation, spousal and child support, and equitable distribution of all marital assets. A successful mediation with cooperative parties will result in a settlement that is fair and at a cost to the parties which is a fraction of what they would otherwise have incurred in legal fees and costs in litigating all issues. Most cases can be successfully mediated to conclusion in three to four sessions, as opposed to waiting between one and two years for cases to be resolved once a complaint for divorce is filed.
