The Matrimonial & Family Law Department of Garrubbo & Capece, P.C. is committed to providing dedicated representation to clients in the highly specialized areas of divorce, custody and visitation disputes, domestic violence cases, applications to move children to other states, support applications, as well as post-judgment applications on issues such as college education expense, modification of alimony or child support, and enforcement of rights under a judgment of divorce.

Our attorneys have superb negotiating skills, extensive trial experience, and in-depth knowledge of relevant case law. We vigorously represent our clients by analyzing the facts of their case, then formulating a comprehensive case plan, and aggressively pursuing our client's legal rights.

The Matrimonial & Family Law Department is strongly committed to maintaining a high degree of client contact throughout each case. Our clients have regular telephone contact with the attorney who represents them in their case. We have also trained our staff of secretaries and paralegals to assist clients in every way possible, and to promptly communicate messages and critical situations to attorneys who may be on trial so that the specific needs of each client are attended to on a timely basis.

We recognize that for each client, involvement in a family law case can be a difficult and emotional experience, and we are sympathetic to the particular needs and circumstances of each our clients.

We also offer divorce mediation, conducted by an attorney trained in divorce mediation at Rutgers Law School. Divorce mediation is an effective, cost efficient method of resolving all issues in a divorce proceeding, including child custody and visitation, spousal and child support, and equitable distribution of all marital assets. A successful mediation with cooperative parties will result in a settlement that is fair and at a cost to the parties which is a fraction of what they would otherwise have incurred in legal fees and costs in litigating all issues. Most cases can be successfully mediated to conclusion in three to four sessions, as opposed to waiting between one and two years for cases to be resolved once a complaint for divorce is filed. Anyone interested in retaining the services of our trained mediator should call the Firm and express their interest in mediation.

Please feel free to contact us using our convenient Internet contact sheet reached by clicking on the "Contact Us" button on the left of this screen. All inquiries will be answered within twenty-four hours of receipt.
